What is Technical Integrity?
Technical Integrity covers the full stack of signals governing whether a search system can efficiently discover, crawl, render, and index your pages. It includes Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), crawl budget allocation, canonical correctness, mobile usability, redirect chain hygiene, and server response reliability. We treat technical health as a prerequisite: every other dimension is artificially capped until Technical Integrity clears a minimum threshold.
Why It Matters
Search systems use site quality scores to allocate crawl resources. A site that returns slow responses, renders inconsistently on mobile, or produces excessive redirect chains receives less frequent crawls. This means content updates take longer to surface and new pages take longer to rank.
How We Score It
We run field-data Core Web Vitals audits against CrUX alongside lab-data Lighthouse sweeps. We map the full crawl graph: discoverable pages, orphans, incorrect robots.txt blocks, and misconfigured canonical chains. Indexation coverage is compared against the sitemap to surface orphaned pages.

US Patent 9,031,929 describes how site quality scores are computed from crawl signals and used to modulate rankings across an entire domain. US Patent 8,560,484 introduces agent rank — a domain-level quality multiplier. Both patents make clear that technical quality is a domain-level signal, not page-level.
