1. About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Patnick uses cookies and similar browser technologies on patnick.com and inside the Patnick application. It is part of our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it. Patnick is established at Keltasafiirinpolku 1A 07, 01300 Vantaa, Finland.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies can be “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent” (kept for a defined period). Under EU ePrivacy rules and the Finnish Electronic Communications Services Act, storing or reading information on a user's device normally requires consent, except where the cookie is strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested.
3. Cookies we use
We use only the minimum cookies required to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sb-access-token | Strictly necessary | Supabase authentication session — keeps you logged in | Session | No (essential) |
sb-refresh-token | Strictly necessary | Supabase refresh token — maintains the session | Up to 30 days | No (essential) |
csrf_token | Strictly necessary | Cross-site request forgery protection | Session | No (essential) |
cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie preferences so we do not show the banner repeatedly | 12 months | No (essential) |
4. Analytics — cookieless
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, EU-hosted analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track individuals across sites. It counts page views in aggregate. Because it does not rely on cookies or any access to information stored on your device, Plausible does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules for this use case.
More about Plausible's data practices: plausible.io/data-policy.
5. Third-party cookies triggered by optional features
The following third parties may set their own cookies on your device, but only when you actively use the corresponding feature. These are governed by the third party's own cookie and privacy policies.
| Service | When loaded | Purpose | Third-party policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe (Checkout / Elements) | Payment and checkout pages only | Payment processing, fraud prevention | stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal |
| Google OAuth | Only when you connect Google Search Console | Authentication with Google | policies.google.com/technologies/cookies |
| Shopify / WordPress OAuth | Only when you connect these platforms | Authentication with the connected platform | See each provider's cookie policy |
6. How to manage cookies
You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Every major browser lets you:
- See which cookies are stored.
- Block cookies from specific sites, or all sites.
- Delete individual cookies or clear all cookies.
- Block third-party cookies only.
If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to stay logged in or use the Patnick application.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Patnick does not sell or share personal information, so a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal does not change our behaviour — we already do not track you across sites. California residents can confirm our non-sale posture at any time under the CCPA / CPRA.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes affecting consent will also be reflected in the in-app cookie banner.
